Position Title: PROCESSOR I

The National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) is an essential business providing essential services to the crane industry and has an opportunity to join a growing and dynamic team! Since 1995, NCCCO has developed effective performance testing standards for those working in and around load handling equipment, including cranes. NCCCO is the national leader in providing crane operator certification and has been deemed as an essential service. We are committed to quality, integrity, and fairness in testing and have issued certifications in all 50 states. NCCCO has offices in Murray, Utah; Fairfax, Virginia; and Palm Harbor, Florida.  

NCCCO has an immediate opening for a Receptionist position in our Palm Harbor, Florida, office. This position will provide administrative/office support in the Florida office, with general receptionist responsibilities including supporting the work of management and other staff by performing functions such as greeting visitors, answering phones, and preparing correspondence.

Primary Responsibilities:

The Receptionist will report directly to NCCCO’s Florida Office Administrator. This position may also conduct research, prepare statistical reports, and handle information requests. Other facets of the role may include assisting staff in the Testing Services Department with tasks including but not limited to filing, data entry, processing applications, email and/or fax results, discrepancies, receipts, and process mailing of results. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Answer incoming calls, direct calls to appropriate persons/departments, and respond to stakeholder phone and email inquiries.
  • Supporting Office Administrator with ordering/stocking all supplies for the office—letterhead, envelopes, etc.; exam booklets, card stock, etc.; maintain regular inventory of office supplies; order/stock break room supplies.
  • Assisting with resolving candidate issues with professionalism and accuracy. Maintain appropriate confidentiality of information processed.
  • Courteously and promptly determining the nature of caller’s business and directing callers to appropriate person or taking care of caller.
  • Assuming responsibility for providing timely, appropriate, accurate responses to request/suggestions/complaints or referring such comments to appropriate person within a 24-hour period.
  • Providing front desk phone coverage.
  • Maintaining database of customer service calls/emails.
  • Accurate spelling, grammar, and punctuation required for all communication with attention to detail.
  • Other job-related duties as appropriate and directed.

Education and/or Experience:

Qualified applicants may possess any combination of education and experience enabling them to successfully perform the responsibilities of the position. Preferred qualifications are: high school diploma or equivalent and up to two years of relevant experience. Qualified candidates must have excellent organizational skills, excellent computer-based skills, e.g. experience with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Dynamics CRM is a bonus). Must have the ability to multi-task with an attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent customer service, and a great sense of professionalism in both attire and mindset. A passion for and knowledge of the crane and crane-related industries and bilingual (Spanish/English) are a plus.
