At a gala on November 11, NCCCO will celebrate the 25th anniversary of when CCO certifications first became available.
September 22, 2021—CCO is gearing up for its first in-person meetings in nearly two years this fall in Arlington, VA. Last year marked the 25th Anniversary of the founding of CCO; however, 2021 marks the 25th Anniversary of when CCO certification first became available.
The black-tie (optional) 25th Anniversary Gala will take place the evening of Thursday, November 11, after several days of exam management committee meetings and the Sixth Annual Industry Forum on Personnel Qualifications presented by the NCCCO Foundation. The evening’s festivities will start with a reception with hors d’oeuvres and refreshments, which will provide networking opportunities and a great way to meet other professionals in the industry. The reception will then be followed by a formal plated dinner accompanied by the Gala celebration.
Guests will be treated to keynote presentations by CCO CEO Thom Sicklesteel and NCCCO Foundation CEO Graham Brent, reflecting on the history of CCO and honoring CCO’s “Difference Makers,” as well as stakeholders in the construction and certification arenas. Many of CCO’s esteemed volunteers will be honored for their decades of contributions to developing and managing CCO’s broad portfolio of 28 certification designations across 12 categories.
Gala tickets and further details are available on a special website created for the event: www.nccco.org/25gala. All guests for the CCO 25th Anniversary Gala must purchase tickets to attend the Gala dinner no later than close of business on October 22.
Commissioners Meet on November 12th
The Gala will be followed by the 51st Biannual Commissioners Meeting on Friday at the same facility as the Gala and exam management committee meetings that week. Guests are welcome to attend all open meetings; however, pre-registration is required. To access the CCO Commissioners Week schedule and registration links go to www.nccco.org/meetings. Note that registration for all meetings is separate from purchasing 25th Anniversary Gala tickets.
Over the past two-and-a-half decades, CCO certification has become the premier load handling equipment-related credential. None of the major safety advances that have come with the introduction of professional personnel certification would have been possible without the industry foundation that established NCCCO and has continued to support it ever since.
The partnerships that CCO has built with industry leaders, training providers and employers are the foundation of its success. The CCO 25th Anniversary Gala is a great way to gain brand exposure to top industry stakeholders, and all sponsorship opportunity levels include complimentary attendance to the 25th Anniversary Gala Dinner.
