April 19, 2022—CCO certification cards issued beginning May 1, 2022, will include a QR code that links directly to the Verify CCO Online (VCO) system. The QR codes can be scanned using smartphones, which will then automatically pull up all the card holder’s current certifications and their expiration dates. While this information is currently available via the VCO system at verifycco.org, the QR codes will take users directly to the information without having to type in the certification number, making it much easier and faster for stakeholders to verify that an individual holds the qualifications required.
