John Zarian Appointed to ANSI PCAC

John ZarianDecember 2019—The ANSI National Accreditation Board has appointed NCCCO General Counsel and Director of Administration, John Zarian, to its Personnel Certification Accreditation Committee (PCAC) responsible for the ANSI Personnel Certification Accreditation program.

Zarian will begin his three-year term January 1 and be eligible for a total of three consecutive terms.

The Personnel Certification Accreditation Committee serves a very important role at the ANSI National Accreditation Board. Zarian will help ensure compliance of certification organizations to the rigorous ISO/IEC 17024 standard and be involved in many other important decision-making opportunities.

In announcing Zarian’s appointment, Dr. Vijay Krishna, ANSI’s Senior Director, Personnel Credentialing Accreditation Programs, noted that the PCAC Nominations Committee believed Zarian had “the experience, knowledge, and skillset to handle these responsibilities and add value further to the PCAC.”

In his role as a member of the Committee, Zarian will attend four quarterly meetings of PCAC each year and any other duties as assigned by the PCAC Chair.

Zarian is the third member of the NCCCO team to serve on PCAC. NCCCO’s founding CEO, Graham Brent, was a charter member of PCAC beginning in 2002, and Bob Mahlman, NCCCO’s Director of Certification has just concluded nine years of service on the Committee.
