October 2016—The next Lift & Move USA careers event will be held at the Bragg Companies’ Long Beach, CA facility. As with previous events in this series, the program scheduled for November 2 is aimed at high school students and former military personnel who are looking for career alternatives that don’t require a four-year college degree.
Attendees will move among nine stations, where they will hear 15-minute presentations about careers such as crane operators, riggers (ironworkers), truck drivers, mechanics/welders, CAD engineers and recommended paths to tap into these lucrative careers. For example, they will learn how crane operator and other certifications from the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) and other industry groups open the doors to many rewarding careers without a traditional college education.
The Lift & Move USA events are targeted at filling a shortage of qualified personnel to fill thousands of important jobs essential to the U.S. construction industry and growing the U.S. economy. For more information and to register for the free event, visit www.liftandmoveusa.com.
