August 2016—The CCO Lift Director exams include scenario-based lift plan questions that require candidates to read and interpret lift plans as if they are real-world scenarios. These question types are unlike any other questions used on CCO exams. To assist candidates preparing the CCO Lift Director specialty written exams, NCCCO has published sets of lift plans for each of the different scenarios candidates will encounter on the tests. For each specialty exam (mobile and tower), candidates will need to interpret different lift plans for operations using a single crane and multiple cranes, respectively.
Although these plans are different from those on the exams themselves, they do provide candidates with a sense of what to expect on the test. Click here to find the sample plans, the actual load charts used for the test, and sample questions about the plans.
