2014 Ethics and Discipline Summary

January 2015—NCCCO continued to be active in the investigation of alleged misconduct by NCCCO certificants or others involved in NCCCO programs. During 2014, NCCCO conducted 41 such investigations.

Twenty-seven (27) cases involved certificants or candidates for certification. The NCCCO Ethics and Discipline Committee held four meetings throughout 2014, and imposed disciplinary action against 12 individuals involved in these cases. NCCCO also investigated 14 cases of alleged misconduct against practical examiners. The investigations related to these complaints resulted in NCCCO imposing disciplinary action against five practical examiners.

The NCCCO Appeals Committee considered six appeals from certificants who requested extensions in time frames to take NCCCO examinations. The Committee granted five of the appeals and denied one appeal.
