New York City Unveils New License

September 2009  – New York City’s Department of Buildings (DOB) is now issuing a new license card for all new and renewed Class C Hoist Machine Operators License holders that features CCO certification designations. 

The new license displays “Hoist Machine Operator” as the license type in the top right hand corner in place of “Cherry Picker.”  On the reverse, a new section, “NCCCO Designation” has been added.  The designations “TSS” and “TLL“ are used here to denote operators who are certified by NCCCO in the Fixed Cab and Swing Cab categories, respectively.

Department inspectors will continue to accept existing Class C licenses until their expiration date.
