CCO Certification Reaccredited

October 2009  –  The National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) has been re-accredited for a further five-year period by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) for its personnel certification programs.

NCCA’s latest award of accreditation to NCCCO effectively extends accreditation for CCO certification to 2014, subject to successful annual reviews.

“This is the third five-year period that NCCCO has been accredited by NCCA,” noted NCCCO Commission Chairman, Kerry Hulse.  Hulse participated in the original effort to secure accreditation over a decade ago. “CCO mobile crane operator certification was the first crane operator certification program to be accredited, in 1998,” he recalled.  “It was followed by tower crane operator certification in 2005.”

All CCO crane operator certification programs are accredited, either by NCCCO or ANSI (the American National Standards Institute) or both.

CCO crane operator certification is the only personnel certification program to be formally recognized by OSHA and both US national and international personnel accreditation agencies.
