Buckner Hosts 11th Annual NCCCO Fun Run

June 2010  –  A bright spring Orlando morning greeted the more than 40 early risers at the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA) Annual Conference in April who participated in the annual benefit event, held at the Omni Hotel at Champions Gate. This year marked the eleventh straight year that Buckner HeavyLift Cranes, Graham, NC, sponsored the CCO 5K Fun Run/Walk for the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO).

A staple of the SC&RA Annual Conference, this year's Fun Run—titled “Champions Chase”—brought out both run veterans, who look forward to the popular annual event, and new participants looking for a fun way to get some exercise. Buckner President Doug Williams generously provided all participants with commemorative T-shirts, beverages, and snacks. “Buckner is proud to put on this fun event for a good cause,” Williams said. “Buckner continues to support NCCCO’s efforts to improve the safety of everybody whose job brings them in contact with cranes and lifting equipment.” Next year’s annual event will be held in Carlsbad, California.
